Holidays...

Well,

Ive got to say when you dont have any agenda on your holidays it diminishes the overall "holiday" experience.

Most of the week has been one of organising and running around doing errands. This is ok, but doesnt really give you a sense of fulfillment at the end.

On the whole health thing, its about time I started to take action on the whole deal and did what I said I would. Starting with today and the rest of next week its on. No more excessive eating and certainly off the booze.

As of today no more Civ 4 and start to enjoy whats left of Autumn and get on with it. In other words coming here to post stuff and check the bank balance will be the only time I will sit my arse down on the computer. I feel i waste far too much time on the computer and not actually achieving anything and feel a little empty after it all.

Starting Anew..... Horizon is in sight!

Well its about time...

Ok to cut a long story short (if there is ever such a way) We have moved back from Bunbury back in November last year. The experiences my wife and I have had along the way in Kalgoorlie and Bunbury I will cherish forever.

I have moved in with the folks until the house has been finished with my lovely wife. And we are near impending handover which I can now finally relax, both in the financial sense and also the amount of choices, running around and patiently waiting is now FINALLY OVER.

I suppose now the best is yet to come in painting and also laying the floor, laying the floor wil be a breeze seeing a tiler will be doing that. However painting will be all mine...

It's quite a poignant moment that we are starting the next phase of our lives, by finally moving into the house that we are comfortable with and quite hopefully have a family in as well. Some things that I have set myself as goals is to get back into shape. Prior to giving up Kendo (which I dearly miss) I was around 82 to 83 kilos, which was quite healthy giving my 6ft 3 frame. Unluckily for me I am now at 110, yes thats right, I let myself go and boy did it GO!

I have tried a few times with alcohol to give it up, only to finally go back to it again with more relish than before I gave it up. I was only commenting to a friend the other night that I (now nearly approaching 30) cannot remember things that I should at work, and also some things in my life. You know, the hazy dull feeling as you recall?? Well I have decided that I can't give alcohol up entirely but will adopt an approach that my friend recommends as being in more balance (thanks Rob). Beer Im afraid will have to come off the list. I think by the start of December, which is my brothers wedding, That I will be able to squeeze myself back into size 87 pants.

Who knows I do need a sport, Kendo was such a driving force in my life that opened my eyes entirely. I daresay I crave more of this "opening eyes" that Kendo gives. Who knows, If I can get myself into shape I might have a crack at going back. The cost of doing such a sport is very high, but then again it gives balance, and what is more important? Your bank balance or healthy mind and soul?
